Team Objectives
Objectives in Branco are designed to create alignment and clarity across the organization.
How objectives work
- Company-level objectives are set and cascaded down to teams.
- Teams see and manage their own OKRs — the objectives that matter to their group.
- Team objectives can be edited to make them actionable and relevant at the team level.
- Key results can be assigned to specific team members, so everyone knows who's responsible for what.
Start with outcomes
Focus on outcomes, not tasks. Start with the most important objectives and define 1–3 indicators of success (Key Results or KPIs) for each one.
Why objectives matter beyond goal-tracking
Team objectives and key results aren't just a planning tool — they're wired into the rest of Branco:
- Trigger relevant feedback prompts — The Slack bot asks questions connected to your team's objectives, so feedback stays focused on what matters.
- Provide context for performance insights — Branco uses objective data to assess how people are contributing to team goals.
- Power reports — Engagement, Performance, Retention, and 9-box reports all factor in objective progress.
As a manager, what do you need to do?
Make sure your team's objectives are set up and key results are assigned. Once that's in place, Branco handles the rest — connecting objectives to feedback prompts and surfacing progress in reports.
