Impersonation (Manager View)
The "Yourself" switcher in the top bar lets you view Branco from your direct report's perspective — seeing exactly what they see.
What is it?
Branco gives managers (and admins) the ability to switch their view to another team member's perspective. This isn't a separate report or summary — you're seeing the actual pages as that person experiences them.
Switching perspectives lets you see your direct report's data, but you can't edit their action plans, notes, or other personal content. It's a read-only view of their experience.
How to use it
- Look for the "Yourself" dropdown in the top bar (center of the page).
- Click it to open a searchable list of team members.
- Select the person you want to view as.
- Navigate to any page — Dashboard, My Career, Action Plan, Feedback Hub, 1:1 — to see it from their perspective.
- Switch back to "Yourself" when you're done.
What you can see
When viewing as a direct report, you can access their:
- Dashboard — Their strengths, opportunities, feedback trends, and frequency counters.
- My Career — Their skill and competency progress bars, career path, and feedback cards.
- My Action Plan — Their development goals, AI suggestions, and sub-step progress.
- Feedback Hub — Their feedback network, plus received, given, and self-reflection history.
- 1:1 — Your shared 1:1 space (this is the same view for both of you).
The most valuable time to use the view-as switcher is right before a check-in. Spend 5 minutes reviewing their dashboard, career page, and action plan — then add specific talking points to your shared 1:1 agenda based on what you see.
Who can use this?
- Managers can view their direct reports only.
- Admins can view any user in the organization.
- Employees do not have access to the view-as switcher.
