Growth, Careers, and 1:1s
Branco gives you three connected tools to manage your own development — an action plan for focus, a career page for the big picture, and a 1:1 space for regular conversations with your manager.
My Action Plan
Your action plan is where you define what you're actively working on to grow in your role.
- Define 1–2 action items at a time — keep it focused rather than creating a long list.
- Break each item into sub-steps with due dates so you have a clear path forward.
- AI suggests potential actions based on your feedback patterns — rate them thumbs up or down to improve future suggestions.
- Your action plan items are used as context for feedback prompts, so the Slack bot asks questions relevant to what you're working on.
This is your space. Your manager can see it, but you're the one who creates and maintains it. Use it to show initiative and keep your development visible.
My Career
Your career page shows where you stand relative to the expectations for your role and level.
- Role-specific skills with progress bars showing how your feedback compares to expectations.
- Company-wide competencies with similar progress bars for soft skills.
- A career path visualization showing the full ladder for your role — from entry level through to senior leadership — with your current level highlighted.
- Feedback cards summarizing your impact on team objectives and progress on your action plan.
This page updates automatically as feedback comes in. The more feedback flowing through the system, the more complete the picture.
1:1s
The 1:1 space is a shared area between you and your manager for your regular check-ins.
- Add talking points throughout the week as things come up — don't wait until the meeting.
- Private notes let you capture your own thoughts that only you can see (your manager has their own private notes too).
- A monthly AI-generated summary reviews your Overall Progress, Achievements, and Growth Areas.
The most productive 1:1s happen when both sides add topics ahead of time. Don't leave it to your manager to set the agenda — add your own items about what's going well, what's blocking you, or what you want to discuss.
How they work together
These three features form a connected growth system:
- Feedback (via Slack) feeds into your career page scores and generates action plan suggestions.
- Your action plan items show up in 1:1 summaries as progress updates.
- 1:1 conversations help you interpret your career page data and prioritize your action plan.
When all three are active, you have a clear, continuous picture of where you are, where you're going, and what to work on next.
