Team Objectives

Team objectives give you visibility into what your team is working toward — and where your contributions fit in.

How objectives work

Your company and team set objectives using the OKR framework (Objectives and Key Results). In Branco, you can:

  • See your team's objectives — What the team is collectively focused on achieving.
  • View key results — The measurable outcomes that define success for each objective.
  • See your assignments — Key results assigned to you show up with your avatar, so you know exactly what you're responsible for.
Focus on your assigned key results

You don't need to track every objective — look for the ones with your avatar. Those are the key results you're directly responsible for, and they'll drive the feedback questions you receive.

Why objectives matter beyond planning

Team objectives aren't just a goal-tracking exercise — they're connected to the rest of Branco:

  • Feedback questions are tied to your objectives — When the Slack bot asks for feedback, it focuses on the goals that matter to your team.
  • Your dashboard tracks your impact — The "Impact on team objectives" card on your dashboard reflects how you're contributing.
  • Reports factor in goal progress — Your engagement and performance scores are influenced by how your objectives are tracking.

What you need to do

  • Check the Team Objectives page to see what's current and what's assigned to you.
  • Track your progress on any key results you own.
  • If you're unsure how your work connects to a team objective, bring it up in your next 1:1 — that's exactly what the shared agenda is for.
