Survey activation

Surveys are not sent automatically. An admin must activate each cycle from the eNPS settings page.

To activate a survey cycle:

  1. Go to Company Settings → eNPS.
  2. Click Activate.
  3. Select All Active Users or Specific Users Only
  4. Click Activate & Send - the Slack survey will be prioritized to be the next message Branco sends to eligible employees. This may take up to 24 hours depending on their last Branco message.

Once activated, the survey remains open indefinitely until an admin manually closes it. There is no automatic expiry.

Minimum response threshold

eNPS results are hidden until this number of responses has been received. This protects employee anonymity by preventing scores from being attributed to individuals in small teams.

  • Threshold: 3 responses
  • If the threshold has not been met when the survey is closed, results will not be shown for that cycle.
Adjusting the threshold

Lowering the minimum response threshold reduces anonymity protection. Only adjust this setting if your team size requires it, and consider the implications for employee trust.

Results visibility

Controls which roles can view eNPS results in Branco.

RoleAccess
Administrator✅ Always visible — full company results
Manager✅ Visible — own team results only, if the minimum response threshold is met for that team
Employee❌ Not visible

Managers only see results for their direct team. If their team has not met the minimum response threshold, results are not shown to prevent individual responses from being identifiable.

Probation exclusion

Employees in a probation review are excluded from eNPS surveys only if they have an outstanding action — specifically, if they have not yet submitted their probation self-review, or if they have a completed review awaiting their acknowledgement. Once those steps are complete, they are eligible to receive eNPS surveys as normal.
